Restore functionality for spec2snip image uploads

Summary

As recently discussed with mo: In the prior version of snip it was possible to upload images directly from spec. This is not possible anymore.

Steps to reproduce

Take e. g. the Julia-Spec and execute snipaxis or snipmat.

What is the current bug behavior?

No snip is created.

What is the expected correct behavior?

A snip for the should be created.
